Alan Whaley
Music Director
Alan holds a Masters of Theological Studies in Music and Liturgy from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Music in choral and general music education from Western Michigan University. He has studied voice with Linda Totter, William Appel and David Little; choral conducting with Mel Ivey, Craig Arnold and Joe Miller; and organ with Laurence Smith of Interlochen, Michigan and Margaret McElwain Kemper. Prior to attending Seabury-Western, Alan served for eight years as Director of Choirs at Benzie Central Middle and High School in Benzonia, Michigan. As a church musician, cantor and soloist, Alan has served churches in both Michigan and Illinois.
