Deacon

MJ was ordained to the Deaconate in 2003 and has been a member of the staff at St. Lawrence since that time. She serves as a deacon in the liturgy, is a member of the pastoral care team and Youth formation. In her secular activities, MJ is a professional chaplain serving folks in Rehabilitation and long term care. She is the coordinator of a palliative care unit. Deacon MJ is undertaking studies in Spiritual Direction and is an associate of the Order of Julian of Norwich. Prior to her ordination MJ was a Health Care Professional and Taught in Colleges in Canada and the US. She is married, has three grown children and Fred the family Dog.
