The Rev. Patricia Wolcott Snickenberger
Rector
Patti grew up in Batavia, Illinois and is a cradle Episcopalian. She received a B.A. in sociology from Drake University in 1974, a Masters in Social Work from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in 1976, and her Masters of Divinity from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in 1999. Patti worked as a clinical social worker at Northwestern Memorial Hospital from 1976 – 1984. She stayed home to raise her children from 1984 until 1994 at which time she entered the seminary. She served as Curate and Associate Rector at Christ Church in Winnetka from 1999 – 2006. In January of 2007 Patti was called to become the Rector here at St. Lawrence. Her diocesan activities include serving on the Commission on Ordained Ministry and coordinating the Ministry Discernment Weekend for the Priesthood. She also serves as a mentor to individuals who are currently in the ordination process. Patti and her husband, Tom, have three college age children – Dan, Anna, and Amy. Patti enjoys traveling, reading, Celtic spirituality, Irish music, playing with her cats, movies, walking, health, fitness, and hanging out with her husband and children.
